The Zeus x27 taser has always been a tricky weapon to use. In the past, it was a one-use melee weapon, that would instantly kill any player it connects with. However, the Call To Arms update released recently has completely reworked the Zeus x27, and even introduced new Zeus skins!
If you’re one of the players who never held the Zeus x27 in their hands in-game before, now’s the perfect time to learn all about it! Here at Skinsmonkey, we present our new and improved Zeus x27 guide!
What Is The Zeus x27?
Believe it or not, Zeus x27 is the most powerful weapon in the game. A successful attack with the Zeus x27 taser will instantly kill any target, regardless of their armor (yes, your allies as well, so make sure to aim correctly). The effective range of Zeus x27 is 183 to 230 units, and at any further distance, it becomes useless. It also has a very low moving accuracy, so you have to really position yourself well to use the Zeus effectively.
In the past, it was only a single-use weapon that could be purchased for $200. When you purchase Zeus x27, it will go to the player’s knife slot as an alternative weapon. In the past, each Zeus x27 only came with a single shot, and each time you would fire your taser it would disappear from your inventory. This meant that you had to purchase a new one after firing, no matter if you struck your opponent or not.
This obviously made Zeus x27 a risky and unpopular choice. You don’t often fight at such close quarters in the Counter Strike franchise, and most of the time you’re better off saving that $200 to purchase guns for your team. Thankfully, the latest update has given this classic taser a complete overhaul. Not only did it improve the weapon’s looks with a new model, it has also made Zeus x27 reusable. Instead of getting instantly discarded it simply runs out of power, and needs to be recharged before you can use it again. The new Zeus x27 model features a meter on the weapon’s back, which tells you how much power it has. After each shot the gun will need around 30 seconds to get back to full power.
Gamers didn’t have a lot of time to play around with the new Zeus x27, so it’s still difficult to pass any concrete judgment on the weapon’s power. The changes introduced in the new update were certainly very radical, completely revolutionizing how the weapon plays and feels. Still, now that it’s no longer single-use, you can expect gamers to purchase this weapon late-game after they already have a full loadout of guns and armor.
Are There Any Zeus x27 Skins?
One of the most shocking reveals from the latest update was a new skin for the Zeus x27 – Olympus. Available as a part of the Kilowatt case collection, this epic weapon skin adds an image of the mythical Zeus, the Greek god of thunder and the weapon’s namesake, on the side of your gun. Additionally, it also adds a beautiful graphic design of thunder and lightning to the entire weapon, giving it a really electrifying look. This is only the first skin for the Zeus x27, and with this update, we can be sure that there are more to come in the future. How To Use Zeus x27?
If you’re one of the gamers who’d like to learn how to master the Zeus x27, you should keep in mind that this update has completely changed how you handle this gun. Here are some tips on how to use the new Zeus x27 to your advantage:
Be Stealthy
The short range of this weapon creates one serious issue – you have to get up close and personal with any enemy you intend to kill with a well-aimed Taser shot. Realistically you won’t have space to run up to your enemies to get close enough without taking a headshot. This means that the best way to use Zeus effectively is to be stealthy. Try hiding yourself behind corners, the Zeus animation is super fast, and if you’ve got the reflexes, you can easily take out an enemy as soon as they appear in your field of vision. Also, remember that Zeus makes a loud sound upon each use, meaning that you have to keep moving after you fire it, to remain stealthy.
Don’t Buy Zeus On Every Map
Let’s be clear about one thing – the Zeus x27 taser is useless on maps with vast open spaces. While you should always choose your weapons based on your current situation in the game, Zeus x27 will only be a waste of money, if you don’t even get close enough to your enemies to use it. In this case, it would be much better to save that $200 to purchase weapons for your teammates later in the match.

Avoid Moving Too Much
As we have already mentioned above, the Zeus x27 has very poor accuracy while moving, meaning that if you choose to rush up to your enemies, there’s a big chance you’ll miss your shot point-blank. Not only that, but missing a shot from the Zeus x27 makes you extremely vulnerable, and will most likely just get you killed. If you want to land an instant kill with this weapon, avoid running and stay stationary.
In Conclusion
As you can see, there have been significant changes to the Zeus x27, making it a more viable weapon to be used in ranked matches. Although we still haven’t seen a lot of it in action, it’s safe to say that the Call To Arms update has shaken up the metagame.
