The Flip Knife is a surprisingly durable weapon, described as “a Persian-style back-swept blade with an acute point”. It is one of the many cosmetic skins knives available in the Counter Strike series and It can be used by both Terrorists and Counter-Terrorists. The Flip Knife was first featured in the game in 2013 and it was one of the few original knives introduced alongside the Arms Deal update. The blade was modeled after the Benchmade Bedlam 860, which is a real-life tactical flip knife. Funnily enough, it was first popularized as “an aid for field dressing game”.

Flip knives are actually very popular in the real world. People use them when they go camping or hunting. In CS2 (CSGO), however, because they are a type of cosmetic knife, they offer pretty much the same functions as the basic default knife (interestingly enough, in the Alpha version of Global Offensive, the Flip Knife was the primary default knife for the Terrorist team). They provide two firing modes: STAB and SLASH and produce very little noise, which can prove useful for sneak attacks. On top of that, Flip Knives are extremely light, therefore, they don’t slow the player down.

It is possible to find more budget-friendly options, but for the most part, the Flip Knife is for players with a slightly larger budget. The relatively cheapest Flip Knife skin is the Safari Mesh, as its cost varies from $100 to $150. The most expensive, on the other hand, is the Crimson Web. Its Factory New version can go for as much as $1500 on the skin market.
