The Bayonet Knife is a cosmetic skins knife available in Counter Strike 2 and Global Offensive. It was first introduced as one of the five original cosmetic knives featured in the Arms Deal update. The inspiration behind the blade is the real-life M9 Bayonet, manufactured by Bucky for the United States Marines. It has been frequently used in military conflicts over the years. Even its official description in CS (CSGO) states that it has “continued to be effective as recently as the second Gulf War and the war in Afghanistan”. The in-game version is available to both Terrorists and Counter-Terrorists.
The Bayonet Knife is known for its unique pull-out animation which depicts the character rolling it off their hand and catching it by the handle. When it comes to combat, it provides the same features as the regular default knife. It has two firing modes: STAB and SLASH. Its main advantage is the ability to produce little to no noise, which is good for conducting sneak attacks. On top of that, the Bayonet Knife is extremely light, therefore, it does not slow the player down. Knives in general might also come in handy when the player is running out of ammo.
The Steam Market is full of Bayonet Knife skins CS2 (CSGO). Unfortunately, since the Bayonet is a cosmetic knife, its price can sometimes knock you off your feet, and the same goes for its skins. However, what makes up for the amount of money it takes to be able to purchase them is their cool looks, rare patterns, and interesting colors. One of the cheapest Bayonet Knife skins is the Boreal Forest, which can cost up to $150. In contrast, the most expensive option is the Crimson Web, as its Factory New version can go for more than $2,000.
