The Karambit is a cosmetic knife available in Counter Strike: Global Offensive. It was first introduced in 2013 along with the Arms Deal update. The inspiration behind the Karambit Knife is the real-life Honshu Karambit designed by United Cuttlery, a US-based knife manufacturer that specializes in movie replicas. In the game, this particular knife is very popular, which is why you can find many Karambit CSGO skins on Steam Market. It is described to have a “curved blade mimicking a tiger’s claw”.
The Karambit CSGO Knife is a cosmetic skin, therefore, it provides the same in-game features as the default knife. It enables two firing modes: STAB and SLASH. The main advantage is its ability to produce little noise, which is useful for sneak attacks. On top of that, the Karambit CSGO Knife is extremely light, hence, it does not slow the player down, which can prove crucial if a sudden escape is necessary. According to the official description, it is “typically used with a reverse grip, with the finger ring on the index finger” and “was developed as part of the southeast Asian martial discipline of silat”.
The Karambit Knife is a cosmetic knife, which makes it an extremely rare CSGO item. Unfortunately, this factor also translates to the price of Karambit Skins, which are extremely expensive. However, as this knife is quite a conversation piece, players are always interested in it and are looking for options to personalize it. Luckily, Stem Market is full of exciting skins, such as the Karambit Doppler or the Karambit Case Hardened. Many of them feature a unique pattern, which has been painted in many colors. Some of the cheapest Karambit Skins are the Scorched and Forest DDPAT. Their Factory New versions cost $400 and $700, respectively. The most expensive, on the other hand, is the Fade which can go for as much as $1700.
