The Falchion Knife is a cosmetic skins knife available in Counter Strike 2 and Global Offensive. It was first introduced in 2015 as part of the Operation Bloodhood update, and after several years it reappeared along with the Operation Riptide update. The weapon is a modern homage to the falchion sword, which is a one-handed, single-edged blade that originated in France. The CS version has a clip-point blade with a curved edge. Falchion Knives can be used by both Terrorists and Counter-Terrorists.
The Falchion Knife provides the same combat features as the classic default knife, but unlike a typical melee weapon, it offers two inspection animations. Other than that, it has two firing modes: STAB and SLASH. The Falchion knife’s main advantage is the ability to produce very little noise, which can prove useful for sneak attacks. In addition, it is extremely lightweight, so it does not slow the player down, which is good in the need for a rapid retreat. The Falchion Knive might also come in handy when the player is running low on ammo.
The Falchion Knife is an extremely rare CSGO weapon, which makes it a very expensive item. This also translates to the price of the Falchion Knife skins on the Steam Market, which varies from $100 to almost $1000. It is worth mentioning, however, that the range of skins for this knife, is larger than with most melee weapons. On top of that, it is distinguished by the variety of designs that the players can choose from. As for prices, the cheapest Falchion Knife skin is the Urban Masked, which costs between $60 and $70. The most expensive, on the other hand, is the Crimson Web, whose Factory New version can go for as much as $700.
