SkinsMonkey Halloween Event 2026: Skin or Scream and How to Push the Bonus to 45%

Skin or Scream, SkinsMonkey Halloween event, up to 45% deposit bonus
On this page

Skin or Scream is a price-guessing game on SkinsMonkey, running from October 21 to November 5, 2026. You see two CS2 skins, one with its price shown and one without, and you call whether the hidden one costs more or less. Every correct call adds one percent to your deposit bonus, from the usual 35% up to 45% for ten in a row.

That is the whole promotion. No codes to hunt for and no spin wheel. The Halloween event page takes you straight into the first pair after you sign in through Steam, and a full run takes under a minute if you are quick with the buttons.

We like it more than a plain discount banner because it rewards the one skill trading runs on: knowing what a skin is worth before you click. The rest of this post explains the rules, the price logic that wins most rounds, and where the extra ten percent is best spent.

Ten Guesses Between 35% and 45%: The Rules of Skin or Scream

On a computer the screen shows a weapon on the left with its SkinsMonkey price and a weapon on the right with the price hidden. On a phone the same pair is stacked, with the priced weapon on top and the hidden one below it. Two buttons, Lower and Higher, decide the round. Further down we say left and right as on desktop; on mobile, read that as top and bottom.

  1. Compare the hidden item with the priced weapon and decide whether it is cheaper or pricier.
  2. A correct guess adds one percent to your bonus and moves you one step along a ten-step streak.
  3. A wrong guess ends the run. You keep the percentage you reached, or you play again.

The bar at the bottom shows your streak out of ten, a timer and your current bonus. You start at 35%, the standing deposit bonus SkinsMonkey offers all year, so even a run that dies on the first pair leaves you with the usual rate. Three correct answers put you on 38% and ten put you on 45%. A miss deducts nothing and attempts are unlimited, so a bad run is just a reason to start another. The one click that matters is Keep: it saves the bonus to your account for good, and after that the game switches to an endless mode, which we cover below.

Prices in the game are SkinsMonkey prices for the exact wear shown on the card, so the Battle-Scarred tag under a skin matters as much as the skin name. The event opened on October 21 and the page runs a countdown to November 5, when it closes. Play it before then, because the bonus you keep is the event’s only prize.

Endless Mode After Keep: How Long Can Your Streak Get?

Once the bonus is saved, Skin or Scream drops the ten-round limit. The game keeps dealing pairs until your first miss, so the streak counter climbs as high as your price knowledge takes it, with the timer running next to it. Nothing rides on it any more, which is the best reason to play a few rounds.

It works best with friends. Send the event link to your squad, play after Keep and screenshot the screen when the run ends. The longest streak wins, and if two of you tie, the faster time takes it. A round between matches settles who in your lobby actually knows the market and who just buys whatever the streamers run.

How to Read a Price Before You Click Higher or Lower

Most rounds are decided by four facts a trader already carries in their head. If you are newer to skins, this list is also a decent introduction to how the CS2 market prices things.

Knives and gloves beat guns almost every time. Nothing with a star in front of its name has a version under thirty-five dollars, while most rifle, pistol and SMG finishes have a wear that sells for pocket change. A Shadow Daggers | Urban Masked in Well-Worn sat on the left at $61.94 in our run, against an MP7 | Orange Peel in Battle-Scarred on the right. Lower, with no need to know the exact number.

Wear tags swing the price inside one skin. Factory New can cost twenty times more than Battle-Scarred for the same finish, so a Minimal Wear pistol can outprice a Field-Tested rifle. Our P250 | Bone Mask in Minimal Wear showed $3.18 on the left, and the hidden AWP | Atheris was Field-Tested. We called Higher and got the point, because even a worn Atheris starts above four dollars.

The weapon matters more than the finish. AK-47, AWP and M4 skins have buyers at every quality level, while Tec-9, MP5-SD or Negev finishes fall to the floor unless they are rare. The exception trips people up: an MP5-SD | Oxide Oasis is a Classified from the 2021 Mirage Collection, a set that stopped dropping with its operation, and it starts around $190, which still makes it the Lower answer against a Butterfly Knife | Ultraviolet priced at $829.

StatTrak and Souvenir tags add a premium. A StatTrak version of a mid-range skin usually costs noticeably more than the plain one, and Souvenir tags on old-collection skins can multiply the price. If the right card carries one of those prefixes and the left one does not, lean Higher unless the weapon gap is huge.

The game pulls skins from across the whole catalog, so a pair can be anything from a ten-cent pistol finish to a four-figure knife, and no two runs look the same. The table shows the skins that came up in our last test run, with today’s SkinsMonkey prices.

When two cards sit in the same bracket, say a Field-Tested M4A1-S | Nightmare against a Minimal Wear AK-47 | Nightwish, the round becomes a coin flip and that is where runs end. The jump from 35% to 45% is the whole range, and most of it comes from the easy pairs, so take those and treat the coin flips as the cost of the last two or three points.

What the Bonus Is Worth and Where to Put It

A deposit bonus adds to the balance you bring in, so a 45% rate means every hundred dollars of skins or cash you deposit trades like a hundred and forty-five. On the regular 35% that same deposit trades like a hundred and thirty-five. The ten-point difference is the price of one decent Field-Tested rifle skin on a mid-size deposit, which is why a two-minute game is worth the detour before you trade CS2 skins on SkinsMonkey.

Where that balance goes depends on what you want your inventory to look like after Halloween. Our cheapest CS2 skins list shows where the ten-cent floor sits for every gun people actually play, and the skins under $5 picks cover the bracket where a bonus stretches furthest. If you want the skins everyone recognises, the most popular CS2 skins list is the shortlist, and the most expensive CS2 skins post explains what makes the top end cost what it does, which is the same logic the game tests. For something in the spirit of the event, our CS2 Halloween skins list has ten finishes that fit the season.

Before depositing, it helps to know what you already hold. The CS2 inventory value checker prices your Steam inventory in a few seconds and shows which items would cover the deposit on their own.

The event bonus is separate from the other ways to pick up extra value on the site. The free CS2 skins page lists the daily, weekly and monthly giveaways, the small account tasks, and the promo code MONKEY, which gives new users five percent back on a trade up to five dollars, once. The code is a different mechanic from the deposit bonus, so read the terms on that page rather than assuming the two stack. If you want the long version of how trade bonuses work on SkinsMonkey, our free money CS2 trade bonus explainer covers it.

Bottom line

Replay Skin or Scream until you hit 45%, press Keep only then, and spend the bonus on the bracket you were going to buy anyway.

The easy rounds are the ones with a knife or gloves on one side, a Battle-Scarred tag on the other, or a weapon nobody buys skins for. Take those points, and when two cards land in the same price band, accept that the next click is a guess. For anyone who knows the market, a full 45% is a matter of a few minutes.

Treat the extra percent as a nudge toward what you wanted, not a reason to deposit more than planned. The bonus is worth the most on the under-$20 bracket, where ten percent covers a whole extra skin, and least on a single knife purchase, where it covers a wear step at best.

Play Skin or ScreamUntil November 5, up to 45% deposit bonus

FAQ

Does SkinsMonkey have any promotions right now?

Yes. Until November 5, 2026 the Halloween event Skin or Scream lets you raise the deposit bonus from the standard 35% to up to 45% by guessing skin prices. The 35% deposit bonus itself runs all year, new users can use the code MONKEY for 5% back on one trade up to $5, and the free CS2 skins page lists the daily, weekly and monthly giveaways.

How do I get the 45% deposit bonus on SkinsMonkey?

Answer ten price comparisons correctly in a row in the Skin or Scream game on the Halloween event page. The bonus starts at 35% and rises one percent per correct answer, so 45% needs a perfect run. A wrong answer ends the run and you keep the percentage you reached.

When does the SkinsMonkey Halloween event end?

On November 5, 2026. The event opened on October 21 and the event page shows a live countdown to the close. Any bonus you locked in before the deadline follows the rules shown on the Claim Bonus page of your account.

Is there a SkinsMonkey promo code for Halloween 2026?

The Halloween bonus needs no code. You play the game while signed in through Steam and the result is attached to your account. The standing code MONKEY, which gives new users 5% back on a trade up to $5, is a separate offer with its own terms on the free CS2 skins page.

What happens if I answer wrong in Skin or Scream?

The run ends and the game shows the bonus you reached, with a button to keep it and another to play again. Nothing is deducted, so you can retry until you reach 45%.

Can I keep playing Skin or Scream after I claim the bonus?

Yes. After you press Keep the bonus is saved and the game switches to an endless mode with no ten-round cap. Your streak runs until the first miss and the timer shows how fast you got there, so it makes a good contest with friends over who knows CS2 prices best.
