What is a Karambit?

A Karambit is a type of knife that originated in Southeast Asia, specifically within the martial discipline of silat. This unique weapon is characterized by its curved blade, mimicking the shape of a tiger’s claw. Traditionally, the Karambit is used with a reverse grip, where the blade is held with the sharp edge facing inward, and the finger ring is placed on the index finger.

This design allows for a variety of techniques and movements, making it a popular choice among martial artists and collectors alike. In CS2 (CS:GO), the Karambit knife retains this iconic design, adding a touch of authenticity and style to the game.

Karambit has a relatively unique animation, which is one of the reasons the knife skin is so popular in CS2. The knife’s shape and design also allow some of the best Karambit skins to really stand out, which is why players are willing to pay so much for each individual Karambit skin. Since the individual skins are so expensive, many players are willing to try their luck at opening Karambit cases.

Are Karambit Knives Expensive?

Yes, the Karambit is one of the most expensive knife skins in CS2 (CS:GO). Its price varies significantly depending on the specific finish and wear level. Common finishes can fetch prices starting from a few hundred dollars, while rare versions, such as the Karambit Blue Gem, can sell for thousands of dollars. The combination of rarity, demand, and the knife’s aesthetic appeal drives the high market value of the Karambit.

Knives are generally the most expensive CS2 skins in the game, which is why many players opt for opening Karambit cases instead. Although the chances of obtaining a Karambit knife are very small, besides the Karambit case all you need is a CS case key, so if you get lucky, you have a chance to save big, and even earn a lot of money.

Which Cases Have Karambit?

Only several cases in CS2 (CS:GO) have the chance to drop a Karambit knife. These are:

Chroma Case

The Chroma Case was one of the first cases to include the Karambit as a possible drop. It features popular finishes like the Karambit Doppler and Karambit Marble Fade. It’s also a great weapon case that you can get on a budget, considering that most of the other skins inside are relatively cheap. Still, even if you don’t open a Karambit knife, you have a chance to receive some of the CS2 classics, such as the AWP Man-O’-War, or the AK-47 Cartel.

Chroma case has the following Karambit skins:

Chroma 2 Case

Following the success of the Chroma Case, the Chroma 2 Case was introduced with more stunning finishes for the Karambit. Although the rare Karambit skins are definitely the absolute highlight of the Chroma 2 case, it also features one of the best M4A1-S skins in the game, the M4A1-S Hyper Beast.

By opening the Chroma 2 case, you can get one of the following Karambit skins:

Chroma 3 Case

The Chroma 3 Case is another option for players looking to obtain a Karambit skin. This case continued the tradition of offering vibrant and eye-catching knife finishes. Outside of the rare Karambits, the Chroma 3 case also features a range of rare M9 Bayonet knives, as well as some awesome weapon skins like the M4A1-S Chantico’s Fire.

Chroma 3 has the following Karambits inside:

Gamma Case

The Gamma Case introduced new finishes like the Karambit Lore and Karambit Autotronic, both of which are highly sought after by collectors. Although most of the skins besides the knives are fairly affordable, this case features some awesome and highly desirable finishes, like the Glock-18 Wasteland Rebel or the M4A4 Desolate Space.

Gamma case drops the following Karambit skins:

Gamma 2 Case

The Gamma 2 Case followed up with additional finishes, expanding the variety of Karambit skins available to players. Outside of the expensive knife skins, some of the skins you open can return the key investment. One of the particular highlights is the AK-47 Neon Revolution, one of the best pink skins in CS2.

Gamma 2 case can drop one of the following Karambit skins:

Revolver Case

While it’s most commonly known for the best R8 skins in the game, the Revolver Case also offers a large number of awesome knife skins, including Karambits. Its regular skins are fairly affordable, which means that you can also get this Karambit case relatively cheaply. In addition, some of the skins inside the Revolver Case will return your CS2 case key investment.

The Revolver case has slightly more Karambit skins than other cases, including:

Operation Bravo Case

Operation Bravo Case remains one of the most expensive CS2 cases in the game, years after its release. This is because it features one of the most expensive AK-47 skins in the game, the AK-47 Fire Serpent. While the Bravo Case is one of the pricier cases on the market, many of the skins inside are valuable too, so you have a decent chance of making back part of your initial investment. Outside of the rare and expensive skins, the Bravo Case also includes many awesome and rare knives.

The Bravo Case features the following Karambit skins:

Operation Vanguard Weapon Case

Operation Vanguard is one of the first Operation updates released in the game, over a decade ago in 2014. The Operation Vanguard Case is a fairly affordable option, and some of the skins inside can at least help you break even. The highlight of this weapon case is definitely the popular AK-47 Wasteland Rebel.

Inside the Operation Vanguard Weapon Case you can find the following Karambits:

Operation Phoenix Weapon Case

Added in the Operation Phoenix update, it’s one of the best CS2 cases to open if you’re looking to make back your money. It features the popular AK-47 Redline, as well as the rare AWP Asiimov, one of the best AWP skins in the game. Outside of these popular skins, it also includes a number of rare knife finishes.

The Operation Phoenix Weapon Case drops the following Karambit skins:

CS:GO Weapon Case

The original weapon case introduced in the Arms Deal update back in 2013, the CS:GO Weapon Case continues to dominate the market, since it features the rare and elusive AK-47 Blue Gem, alongside the popular AWP Lightning Strike, as well as the Desert Eagle Hypnotic, one of the best Desert Eagle skins in the game. While there were a couple of different iterations of this case, with CS:GO Weapon Case 2 and CS:GO Weapon Case 3 also available, each of them features a number of Karambit skins.

The CS:GO Weapon Case drops the following Karambits:

Winter Offensive Weapon Case

One of the first CS2 weapon cases, Winter Offensive Weapon Case includes Karambit skins as well. It’s one of the most expensive weapon cases in the game, so make sure you’re not making the purchase lightly, since there aren’t that many Winter Offensive weapon cases available online. It also features many awesome weapon skins, including the AWP Redline or the M4A4 Asiimov.

If you open the Winter Offensive case, you have a chance to obtain the following Karambit skins:

These cases offer a chance to obtain a Karambit, though the odds are extremely low. If you prefer to skip the randomness, you might consider purchasing or trading for a Karambit directly.

Which Cases Have Karambit Blue Gem? (Color Case Hardened)

The Karambit Blue Gem is one of the rarest and most valuable skins in the game. It can only be found in certain cases that feature the Karambit in its Case Hardened finish. Chroma and Gamma cases don’t include this finish; it comes from the cases with the original knife finishes. The most notable cases where you can potentially find a Karambit Blue Gem include:

1. CS:GO Weapon Case

2. Operation Bravo Case

3. Revolver Case

It’s important to note that the chances of unboxing a Karambit Blue Gem are incredibly slim, and many players have spent thousands trying to obtain one without success. If you’re lucky enough to unbox one, the Karambit Blue Gem can be worth tens of thousands of dollars.

In-Demand & Valuable Karambit Skins

Karambit skins are highly sought after in the CS2 community due to their rarity and aesthetic appeal. This means that they are generally some of the most expensive CS2 skins in the game, and lucky collectors can net some insane prices for their rare knives.

Some of the most sought-after Karambit skins in CS2:

These skins can be obtained through in-game purchases, trading with other players, or by opening weapon skin cases, making them a prized possession for any CS2 (CS:GO) player.

Karambit Skin Rarity and Condition

The condition of a Karambit skin, ranging from Factory New to Battle-Scarred, also plays a crucial role in its value. Factory New skins, with minimal wear and tear, are the most valuable, while Battle-Scarred skins, showing significant signs of use, are less desirable. Collectors and players often seek out rare and high-condition skins, making them a valuable addition to any inventory.

How To Get Karambit

Getting a Karambit in CS2 (CS:GO) can be achieved through several methods:

1. Opening Cases

The most traditional method is by opening one of the cases mentioned earlier. However, the odds are low, and it can be an expensive endeavor.

2. Trading

Another option is to trade with other players. CS trading sites like SkinsMonkey offer a safe and efficient way to find and acquire the Karambit of your dreams.

3. Purchasing

If you’re willing to spend, you can directly purchase a Karambit from the Steam Community Market or other third-party marketplaces.

4. Earning Free Karambit Skin

If you’re looking for a more budget-friendly option, you can try earning free CS2 (CS:GO) skins through giveaways, promotions, or reward-based platforms.

5. Selling Other Skins

You can also put the value of your existing skins toward a Karambit. When you sell CS2 (CS:GO) skins on SkinsMonkey, their value becomes trading balance you can spend on a knife. If you want real money for your skins instead, sell them on SkinCashier, our sister service.

Conclusion
