Inferno Callouts in CS2: Every Position and What It Is For (2026)

Inferno map in CS2, Banana area

TL;DR

Inferno callouts split into T side, Banana, Mid and Second Mid, A site (Short, Apps, Balcony, Pit, Long, Arch, Library), B site (1st, 2nd, Quad, Fountain, Dark, Coffins) and the CT side. Graveyard on A has been closed since the March 4, 2026 update.

On this page

Inferno callouts are short names for every corner, box and doorway on the map, and on Inferno you need more of them than almost anywhere else, because most fights happen in narrow streets and small rooms where “he’s on site” tells your team nothing. This guide lists the callouts players and pro teams use in CS2 in 2026, grouped by area, with one line on what each spot is for.

The list reflects the current layout. Valve closed Graveyard on A site and extended Balcony in the March 4, 2026 update, so a few older callout guides now describe positions you can no longer play. Inferno is still part of the Active Duty pool after Cache replaced Overpass at the start of Premier Season 5 in July 2026, which means you will keep seeing it in Premier and in pro matches.

Inferno callouts in 2026: what changed on the map

Inferno got its Source 2 rebuild with the CS2 launch in 2023, and Valve has kept adjusting it since. These are the changes that affect callouts or how spots play:

  • March 4, 2026: Graveyard at bombsite A was closed, Balcony at A was extended, and clipping changed at the small window next to the Second Mid balcony, so you can no longer boost into it.
  • July 28, 2025: Church windows were opened above Coffins, the path through Garden was reshaped, and the first box on B site got a new shape.
  • March 31, 2025: Banana was adjusted to more closely match its CS:GO size, and the view into Pit and the background of B site were simplified.

In our view the Graveyard change matters most. CTs lost a fallback spot on A, and Ts lost a hiding place after the plant, so A retakes and post-plants now revolve around Pit, Library and the site boxes.

T Spawn, T Ramp and the T apartments

Inferno T side callouts: T Spawn, T Ramp, Ledge and the T apartments with Living Room, Bridge and T Balcony

Everything the Terrorists do starts here. The names are simple, but you will use them in almost every round to tell your team where a lurker is or who is going for A through the apartments.

  • T Spawn: the Terrorist spawn at the bottom of the map.
  • T Ramp: the slope from T Spawn up toward Mid and Banana. AWPers duel down Mid from here at the start of the round.
  • Ledge: a raised spot behind T Ramp with another angle toward Top Mid.
  • Living Room: the upstairs rooms of the T-side apartments, between T Spawn and Bridge.
  • T Balcony: the apartment balcony facing Second Mid. Do not mix it up with Balcony on A site.
  • Bridge: the link between Living Room and the rest of T Apartments, facing Window across Second Mid.
  • T Apartments (T Apps): the apartment block along Second Mid, where Ts set up slow rounds toward A.
  • Second Mid Door: the doorway from T Apps out into Second Mid.
  • Back Alley: the last stretch of the apartments, leading toward Stairs and CT Apartments.

Banana

Banana callouts on Inferno: Bottom Banana, Logs, Top Banana, Sandbags and Car

Banana is the long curved lane from the T side up to bombsite B, and the fight for it decides most B rounds. CTs often throw a molotov or HE grenade up Banana early to slow the push, while Ts fight for control of it with their own utility so they can execute on B later in the round.

  • Logs: a small cubby at the bottom of Banana, near the T side.
  • Bottom Banana and Top Banana: the lower half near the T side and the upper half near B. Calling “top” or “bottom” is often enough to place an enemy.
  • Sandbags: sandbags on the upper part of Banana where a CT likes to hide. Ts usually burn them with a molotov before walking up.
  • Car: cover at the very top of Banana. There has not been a car there since the 2016 CS:GO remake (it is barrels now), but the name stuck.

Inferno on your loadout: the 2018 Inferno Collection

Inferno also has its own skin collection. The 2018 Inferno Collection comes from Inferno Souvenir Packages at Majors, and several of its names nod to cars, which fits a map where one of the main callouts is still called Car: Twin Turbo, Integrale, Check Engine, Brake Light, Hand Brake. None of these skins is expensive, so it is an easy way to carry a bit of the map in your inventory. These are the five rarest:

Mid and Second Mid

Mid and Second Mid callouts on Inferno: Bottom Mid, Underpass, Window, Stairs, Boiler, Bench and Top Mid

Mid connects T Ramp to the A side, and it is where you find out early whether the Ts are going for A Short or saving utility for B. Second Mid runs parallel to it, between the two apartment buildings.

  • Bottom Mid: the T-side end of Mid, where Underpass comes out.
  • Mid: the open central lane between T Ramp and Top Mid.
  • Top Mid: the CT end of Mid where it splits toward A Short and A Long. CTs hold it by default.
  • Bench: a bench on the side of Mid, handy as a reference for lurkers.
  • Underpass: a low tunnel linking Mid and Second Mid. Both sides use it to flank, so someone has to watch it.
  • Second Mid: the lane between T Apartments and the Window of CT Apartments.
  • Window: the room in CT Apartments overlooking Second Mid. Good vision, but you are very exposed.
  • Stairs: the staircase from Second Mid up into CT Apartments, a close-range fight.
  • Boiler: the doorway from CT Apartments out toward Top Mid and A Short.

A site and its entrances

Ts have three ways onto A: Short from Top Mid, the apartments that end on Balcony, and Long past Arch and Library. A typical execute smokes toward Arch and Library to cut off CT rotations and burns Pit before the plant.

A Short and the apartments

A Short and the apartments on Inferno: Patio, Truck, CT Apps, Close Apps and Balcony
  • A Short: the route from Top Mid past Truck onto the site.
  • Patio: a covered section of Short overlooking Top Mid, a common CT crossfire spot.
  • Truck: the truck on Short. Players use it for cover and to jump up toward Balcony.
  • CT Apartments (Apps): the apartment rooms between Second Mid and A. When someone says “Apps” on Inferno, they mean this building.
  • Close Apartments: the hallway that opens onto Balcony above Pit, the usual T route out of Apps.
  • Balcony: the raised ledge above Pit at the end of Apps. Since March 2026 it is wider, which gives Ts more room when they come out.

A Long, Arch and Library

A Long callouts on Inferno: Long Corner, Arch, Library and Kitchen
  • A Long: the lane from Mid past Arch and Library onto A. Taking it splits the site from CT Spawn.
  • Long Corner: a corner on Long opposite Library, usually cleared with a molotov.
  • Arch: the archway between Long, CT Spawn and Speedway. A classic spot for a CT AWP.
  • Library: the room with bookshelves between CT Spawn and A, the main CT route into the site on a retake.
  • Kitchen: the room beside Library, closer to CT Spawn. Some teams call Library itself “Kitchen”, so agree on one name before you play.

Spots on A site

A site callouts on Inferno: Close Left, Back Site, Pit, Dosia and the closed Graveyard
  • Pit: the sunken area at the edge of A, below Balcony. The standard CT anchor spot, covering Short and Balcony, and a strong post-plant position for Ts.
  • Dosia: the deepest corner of Pit, named after the pro player Dosia.
  • Close Left: the box right on your left as you enter A from Short.
  • Back Site: the far side of A from Short, toward Library.
  • Graveyard: the fenced area at the back of A. Valve closed it on March 4, 2026, so it no longer works as a hiding spot or a post-plant position. Older guides and YouTube videos still treat it as a playable spot.

B site and the CT side of B

B sits at the end of Banana with a fountain in the middle and boxes on the left as you come up. A standard T execute smokes CT and Coffins, then burns the close spots before the plant. CTs who lose Banana fall back to the site boxes or play from Construction.

Spots on B site

B site callouts on Inferno: Fountain, 1st, 2nd, Quad, Dark and Coffins
  • 1st: the first cubby on the left when you enter B from Banana.
  • 2nd: the second cubby in the same line of boxes, next to Quad and facing Fountain.
  • Quad: the stack of boxes at the back of B, one of the strongest holds on the site.
  • Fountain: the fountain in the middle of B and the cover around it.
  • Dark: the shadowy corner at the back of B.
  • Coffins: the raised spot with coffins at the back of B, a headshot angle toward Banana. Since July 2025 Church has windows above it.

CT, Construction and Garden

CT side of B site on Inferno: CT, CT Boost, Grill, Construction, Garden and Tree
  • CT: the open lane between CT Spawn and B site. It is a different spot from CT Spawn, and Ts smoke it before they take the site.
  • CT Boost: a boost spot near CT that sees over smokes on B.
  • Grill: a metal gate just outside B toward CT.
  • Construction (Church): the big building next to B. It is no longer a building site in CS2, so many players now call it Church.
  • Garden: the green patch between Construction and B site.
  • Tree: a dark corner by the tree opposite the Construction exit, closest to CT Spawn.

CT Spawn and rotations

CT Spawn and rotation callouts on Inferno: Speedway, Terrace and Well

CTs rotate between A and B through this area, and good callouts here tell your team how far away help is.

  • CT Spawn: the CT starting area between the two sites. It also has a truck, so say “CT truck” to avoid confusion with Truck on Short.
  • Speedway: the walkway from Arch toward B and Construction, the fastest rotation between the sites.
  • Terrace: the flower-covered area next to CT Spawn, overlooking Well and Speedway.
  • Well: the area near CT Spawn on the route toward B.

How to learn Inferno callouts quickly

Names stick much faster once you have stood in each spot yourself. Our routine for a new map:

  • Start a private match on Inferno with no bots and walk the map in the same order as this guide, saying each name out loud as you reach it.
  • Set up a practice server with the right CS2 console commands (infinite warmup, no round time) so you can stay in one area as long as you need.
  • Learn the five or six default smokes first: CT and Coffins for B, Arch and Library for A, plus the early molotovs on Banana. A jumpthrow bind makes most of these lineups consistent.
  • Watch a pro match on Inferno and pause whenever a caster or player names a spot. You will notice that teams use the short versions: “Apps”, “Pit”, “Arch”, “Quad”.
  • Agree with your regular teammates on the names that have two meanings, mainly Balcony, Truck and Kitchen.

The game itself only shows a short list of location names on the radar, and the community uses many more. You do not need all of them: the names in this guide cover what you will hear in Premier.

Once Inferno feels comfortable, the same approach works on the rest of the Active Duty map pool. Our guide to Mirage callouts is the natural next step. And if holding Arch or T Ramp with an AWP is your role, our list of the best AWP skins covers what to put on it, and you can trade for any of them on SkinsMonkey.

FAQ

Is Graveyard still on Inferno in CS2?

No, not as a playable spot. The March 4, 2026 update closed Graveyard at bombsite A, so players can no longer hide there before a retake or after the plant. In the same update Valve extended Balcony above Pit.

What is the difference between CT and CT Spawn on Inferno?

CT is the open lane between CT Spawn and B site, the one Ts smoke when they execute on B. CT Spawn is the CTs' starting area between the two sites. Mixing them up sends teammates to the wrong place.

Where is Dosia on Inferno?

Dosia is the deepest corner of Pit on A site, named after the pro player Dosia. It is part of Pit, so most teams only use the name when they need to be precise about a post-plant or a hidden CT.

Why is it called Car on Inferno if there is no car?

A car used to stand at the top of Banana. It was replaced with barrels in the 2016 CS:GO remake of Inferno, but players kept the old name, and it is still the standard callout in CS2.

Is Inferno in the CS2 Active Duty map pool in 2026?

Yes. When Cache replaced Overpass at the start of Premier Season 5 in July 2026, the Active Duty pool became Dust2, Mirage, Inferno, Nuke, Ancient, Anubis and Cache.
