Types of Charms in CS2

In Counter-Strike 2, players can choose from two main types of charms to adorn their favorite weapons: Missing Link Charms and Small Arms Charms. Missing Link Charms feature tiny characters or objects that add a playful touch to your arsenal. Strange, considering you’re carrying a deadly weapon, but whatever floats your boat.

On the other hand, Small Arms Charms are perfect for those who appreciate the history and legacy of Counter-Strike’s weaponry. These charms are miniature replicas of iconic guns and most popular skins from the game’s past, allowing players to showcase their love for classic firearms. Imagine having a tiny AK-47 or AWP hanging from your weapon, adding a touch of nostalgia and style.

Both types of charms can be hung anywhere on a weapon, giving players the freedom to customize their loadout in a way that reflects their personal taste. Whether you prefer the playful designs of Missing Link Charms or the detailed craftsmanship of Small Arms Charms, there’s something for everyone to enjoy in CS2’s charm collection.

How to Attach and Move CS2 Weapon Charms

Attaching charms in CS2 is straightforward and offers plenty of room for creativity. Once a player acquires a charm, through the Armory or by trading, it can be added to any weapon they own. Charms are placed by drag and drop, so you decide exactly where the charm hangs, but each weapon can carry only one charm at a time.

This flexibility allows users to create combinations that not only look good but also stand out during gameplay, giving their arsenal a distinctive feel. Similarly to the CS2 sticker update, players can place the charm virtually anywhere on their favorite CS2 guns, allowing you to create awesome and personalized designs.

What’s more, CS2 lets you detach a charm and move it to another weapon. This takes a Charm Detachment: the charm returns to your inventory and can be reused, making it possible to repurpose your favorite charms across different weapons.

This option, however, comes with a limit: each charm redeemed from the Armory comes with three complimentary Charm Detachments, and after that you need to buy more in the in-game store. Such mechanics ensure that while players have the freedom to experiment, they must also plan their charm placements strategically to make the most out of their cosmetic items.

Are CS2 Charms and New Stickers Compatible?

One of the best parts of charms in CS2 is their compatibility with stickers, allowing for deeper weapon customization. Can You Trade Charms in CS2?

Charms acquired through the Armory Pass or Steam Community Market follow the same trading policies as other in-game items. This includes a seven-day trade hold after acquisition, meaning players must wait a brief period before they can trade or sell newly obtained charms.

Obtaining Charms in CS2

One of the primary methods of obtaining charms is through the Armory Pass, which grants access to exclusive charms and other cosmetic items. The Armory Pass can be purchased with real money, and it provides a steady stream of rewards as players progress through the game.

With the Armory Pass, players earn Armory Credits as they gain XP in matches. These credits can then be redeemed for charms: each redemption gives you a random charm from the collection you choose, which works a lot like opening other CS2 weapon cases.

At the moment, players have access to two different charm collections: Missing Link and Small Arms. Although gamers don’t have a choice regarding which specific charm they will open, it still lowers the RNG slightly, allowing you to at least narrow down your selection.
