The MAG-7 is the CT side shotgun. It costs $1,300, holds five shells, and pays $900 for a kill in competitive, so it shows up on CT force buys where the enemy has to come to you. Few players spend much on it, and almost half of its skins start under $1. Every skin below can be traded for with the skins you already own on SkinsMonkey.

Our picks for the best look within each budget, prices from SkinsMonkey on November 5, 2026. A skin goes into the bracket of its From price, the cheapest wear we list. The brackets are under $1, $1 to $10, $10 to $100 and above $100. They are much lower than in our Deagle or AWP lists, because only two MAG-7 skins start above $100. What the MAG-7 Is For, and Why Its Skins Get Seen

The MAG-7 is a CT-only pump shotgun with a box magazine in the grip. The T side gets the Sawed-Off at $1,100 in the same loadout slot, while the Nova ($1,050) and the XM1014 ($2,000) are open to both sides. On the CT side, the MAG-7 is the shotgun with the biggest hit. One clean shot to the upper body at close range can kill, and the $900 kill reward is three times what a pistol kill pays.

That makes it a gun for eco and force rounds, held on a close corner or a site entrance. You do not carry it for long, but when you do, it fills a big part of the screen, and the magazine drops out of the grip on every reload. With five shells you reload a lot. Under $1: Monster Call and Case Skins That Look Like More

More than half of the MAG-7 skins from weapon cases cost under a dollar in their worn copies. Several of them cost less than $1 even in Factory New, so in this bracket you can pick the wear by looks alone.

Six more under $1:

• MAG-7 | Insomnia: orange paint with black fish swimming into an open mouth, from the Revolution Case. Factory New cost $0.69, so buy the clean one.
• MAG-7 | Foresight: dark grey with an orange octopus reaching for a “win” tablet, from the Dreams & Nightmares Case. Factory New was $0.30.
• MAG-7 | Cobalt Core: blue with bright cyan lines that look like a circuit, from the Shadow Case. One of the brightest cheap MAG-7s. Minimal Wear, $0.79.
• MAG-7 | Heaven Guard: grey with red panels and white wing decals on the side, from the Operation Phoenix Weapon Case. The float stops at 0.40, and Factory New cost $0.72.
• MAG-7 | SWAG-7: black and silver with the word SWAG in big letters on the side, from the Clutch Case. A joke skin that some players love. Minimal Wear cost $1.16 and Field-Tested $0.55.
• MAG-7 | Firestarter: pale grey paint with red and orange patches that look burned at the edges, from the Operation Vanguard Weapon Case. Field-Tested was $0.81. Minimal Wear jumps to $3.06.

$1 to $10: Justice, BI83 Spectrum and the Best Case Finishes

From $1 up you get the only Classified MAG-7 that comes from a case, and most of the Restricted skins. In this range the price difference between wears is usually a few dollars, so Minimal Wear is often the smart buy.

• MAG-7 | BI83 Spectrum: dark metal with rainbow bismuth crystal shapes in purple, blue and green, from the Operation Riptide Case. Minimal Wear cost $3.70 and Field-Tested $2.45.
• MAG-7 | Heat: glowing orange edges on dark metal, as if the gun just came out of the forge, from the Chroma 2 Case. Minimal Wear, $2.47.
• MAG-7 | Core Breach: orange radiation symbols over black, from the 2018 Nuke Collection. Field-Tested cost $1.60 and Minimal Wear $5.34, so the cheaper wear is the better deal here.
• MAG-7 | Hard Water: grey anodized paint with a blue pattern and a blue muzzle, from the Operation Hydra Case. Field-Tested was $4.51. Minimal Wear and Factory New both cost about $7.
• MAG-7 | Petroglyph: red and white triangles that look carved into stone, from the Gamma 2 Case. Field-Tested and Minimal Wear both cost $1.63, so take Minimal Wear.
• MAG-7 | Seabird: plain aqua and tan paint from the Chop Shop Collection, a skin that never came in a case. Minimal Wear cost $4.13, only 16 cents more than Field-Tested.

$10 to $100: Bulldozer, Prism Terrace and the Old Collections

Every MAG-7 in this bracket comes from an old map or operation collection. Several have a capped float range, so some wears do not exist at all, and the price comes from how few copies exist.

Four more picks in this bracket:

• MAG-7 | Prism Terrace: a pearly optical illusion pattern in pink, green and lilac, from the 2021 Vertigo Collection. The float stops at 0.37, so Field-Tested is the worst wear, and Factory New at $45.18 cost only $4 more than Field-Tested.
• MAG-7 | Hazard: black and yellow hazard stripes over the whole gun, a skin from the Alpha Collection. Field-Tested cost $34.84 and Minimal Wear $56.57. We found no Factory New price on our WIKI.
• MAG-7 | Chainmail: a chainmail pattern over silver and dark gold, from the Norse Collection of Operation Shattered Web. Only Factory New, Minimal Wear and Field-Tested exist, and Factory New cost $19.35, about $1 more than the other two.
• MAG-7 | Silver: plain bright chrome with a silver coat, from the Cobblestone Collection. The float stops at 0.08, so only Factory New and Minimal Wear exist. Both cost $14.50.

Above $100: Cinquedea and Counter Terrace

Only two MAG-7 skins start above $100 on our WIKI. Both are collection skins from operation map collections that never came in a weapon case.

One more at the top:

• MAG-7 | Counter Terrace: a geometric pattern in green, pink and white over dark metal, from the Rising Sun Collection. It is only a Mil-Spec skin, and the price comes from how rare that collection is. Battle-Scarred, Field-Tested and Minimal Wear all cost about $123, so take Minimal Wear at $123.83. Factory New was $195.23.

What Makes a MAG-7 Skin Look Good in CS2

The side panel is the skin. In first person you see the right side of the gun: the long receiver, the barrel and part of the grip. Skins with artwork along that side, like the Monster Call sea monster, show it every second you hold the gun. Small decals like the wings on the Heaven Guard are easy to miss.

The magazine shows on every reload. The MAG-7 drops a box magazine out of the grip, and with five shells you reload often. Skins that paint the magazine, like the Justice and the glass panels of the Cinquedea, get more screen time than you would expect.

Solid colors carry. The Bulldozer yellow and the Heat orange are easy to see from across a site and on the ground after a death. Dark skins like the Core Breach or the SWAG-7 look plain at a distance and show their detail up close.

Which Wear to Buy on a MAG-7

Field-Tested for most skins, after you compare the prices of each wear. Many old collection MAG-7s have a float range from 0.06 to 0.80, so only copies between 0.06 and 0.07 can be Factory New. Those cost many times the rest. The MAG-7 | Sand Dune is the clearest case: Field-Tested cost $2.00 on November 5 and Factory New $118.79. The MAG-7 | Irradiated Alert shows the same jump at $4.01 against $75.62.

Do the opposite where the price barely changes with wear. The Prism Terrace, Chainmail, Silver and Petroglyph cost about the same in their cleanest wear as in their cheapest, so take the cleaner copy. How to Get One: Cases, Trade-Ups or a Straight Trade

The cheap MAG-7s on this page come from weapon cases, where each one is a single skin among several of the same rarity. Opening cases for one specific MAG-7 is very unlikely to work: the Justice is one of several Classified skins in the Prisma 2 Case, and the Monster Call is one of several Restricted skins in the Fracture Case.

The collection skins work differently. The Bulldozer, Silver and Sand Dune came from Major Souvenir packages, not from weapon cases.
