The MP9 is a high-quality weapon available to counter-terrorists in Counter Strike 2 and Global Offensive. Its predecessor in previous installments of the game was the Schmidt Machine Pistol. The submachine gun skins featured in CS2 (CSGO) is modeled after the real weapon of the same name, which was originally manufactured in Switzerland. It was designed by the German company Brügger & Thomet and is mainly known for its use in Afghanistan.

The MP9 in Combat

The MP9 is described as “an ergonomic polymer weapon favored by private security firms”. It has an extremely high firing rate of 857 RPM and a fast reload time of 2.1s. On top of that, the weapon offers a magazine of 30 rounds, and a large reserve of 120 rounds. It is also surprisingly accurate when on the move. Unfortunately, the MP9 also has some drawbacks, which include high recoil and weak penetration power. It is also worth mentioning that it deals the lowest damage of all SMGs in CS.

Cosmetic Skins

Despite the fact that, in addition to its numerous advantages, the MP9 also has its drawbacks, it is still one of the most popular weapons in CS2 (CSGO). This is probably influenced by its relatively low price compared to other SMGs. Luckily, the game offers numerous MP9 skins and players can find both cheap and very expensive options. The cheapest of the MP9 skins is the Slide, which usually costs about a few cents. The least budget-friendly, however, is the Wild Lily from the St. Marc collection, which Factory New version can cost up to $2,500.
