The MP5 is perhaps the most versatile and popular SMG skins in the world. The SD variant, featured in Counter Strike 2 and Global Offensive, is meant to make an already formidable weapon quiet, through an integrated silencer. The original was manufactured by the German company Heckler&Koch, which first introduced it to the market in the 1960s. It has been used in numerous wars in the Middle East. In the game, the MP5-SD is used by both Terrorists and Counter-Terrorists.

The MP5-SD in Combat

The MP5 is known for its high fire rate of 750 RPM and excellent accuracy, even when the player is on the go. It offers a magazine with a capacity of 30 rounds, and a reserve of 120 rounds, which is quite typical for SMGs. On top of that, the SD variant features an integrated silencer and therefore, is ideal for stealth attacks. However, when using this weapon, one must also reckon with the little damage it is able to inflict and the relatively low penetration power. In general, the MP5-SD is recommended for early rounds, but ought to be replaced in later rounds. It’s not suited for long-range combat.
