This guide explains all 28 Anubis callouts that CS2 shows in the game itself, the place names you see next to a teammate on the radar and in the scoreboard. They are grouped into six areas: T Spawn with Street, A Main and A site, Mid with Bridge and Canal, the B approach through Ruins and Connector, B site, and CT Spawn with the CT rotations. For each callout you get where it is, what it is for and which side usually holds it. Anubis is in the Active Duty map pool, so you can play it in Premier as well as in Competitive.
Anubis is an Egyptian themed map made by the community mappers Roald, jakuza and jd40. Valve added it to the game on March 31, 2020, and it has been in CS2 since the Limited Test in August 2023. The names below describe the map after the January 2026 update, which changed mid, Connector and A site. Where players use a second name for the same spot, we give it next to the in-game one.

Two sites and a canal: how Anubis is laid out in CS2
Ts start at the bottom of the map. B site is on the left, at the end of Ruins and Outside Long. A site is on the right, at the top of A Main. Between them runs mid: Ts walk from Bridge through Mid Doors up toward Palace, and the Canal, a water channel below mid, links the Bridge side with A Main. Connector, next to Bridge, is the short way from mid to B.
CTs start at the top, behind the sites. Sniper’s Nest, Alley and Lower Tunnel lead to B, Palace leads down into mid, and Tunnel and Tunnel Stairs lead to A. Most rounds on Anubis come down to mid. Ts who take it can hit A through Walkway or B through Connector, so CTs fight for it early.
Anubis has left and rejoined the map pool more than once. These are the dates that matter:
- Mar 31, 2020 Anubis and Chlorine are added to the game.
- Nov 18, 2022 Anubis replaces Dust II in Active Duty.
- Aug 2, 2023 Anubis is added to the CS2 Limited Test.
- Jul 15, 2025 Overpass replaces Anubis in Active Duty.
- Jan 21, 2026 Anubis returns to Active Duty with map changes.
In CS2 Valve fixed gaps, clipping and stuck spots on Anubis for two years before it made bigger changes. The January 21, 2026 update moved the Bridge drop next to Mid Doors, turned Mid Doors the other way, opened a hole between Connector and Ninja, moved the A site crates up the steps onto Walkway and added scaffolding to the pillar on A. The tables below take these changes into account. Since July 8, 2026 the Active Duty pool is Ancient, Anubis, Cache, Dust II, Inferno, Mirage and Nuke, and it has not changed as of November 4, 2026.
Anubis on your loadout: the Anubis Collection
Anubis has its own skin collection. Valve released The Anubis Collection on April 24, 2023, with 19 weapon finishes themed around the map, and it was sold in-game as the Anubis Collection Package. It does not drop from a weapon case. The top skin is the M4A4 | Eye of Horus, the only Covert skin in the collection. The Classified skins are the FAMAS | Waters of Nephthys and the P250 | Apep’s Curse, and the Restricted ones include the Glock-18 | Ramese’s Reach and the P90 | ScaraB Rush. At the time of writing (November 4, 2026) the M4A4 | Eye of Horus started at $183.69 on SkinsMonkey.

The full list of 19 skins, down to the Consumer Grade ones, is on The Anubis Collection page on SkinsMonkey, with the Souvenir packages from Majors played on Anubis. Our older post about the Anubis Collection skins covers the designs. If you want to know what your own skins are worth before a trade, check them in the CS2 Inventory Value Checker.
T Spawn, Street and T Stairs: where every T round starts

Ts have three ways out of spawn. Left goes to Ruins and the B side, the middle goes up to Bridge and mid, and right goes to Street. From Street you either drop down T Stairs into the Canal or keep right through T Side Upper to A Main. A T who wants to lurk usually picks his route here, in the first seconds of the round.
| Callout | Where it is | Who uses it and why |
|---|---|---|
| T Spawn | The Terrorist start at the bottom of the map. | Ts buy and split here. Routes go to Ruins, Bridge and Street. |
| Street | The open path on the right side of T Spawn. Players also call it Alley, which is not the Alley at B site. | The T route toward A. It splits into T Stairs and T Side Upper. |
| T Stairs | The stairs from Street down into the Canal. | Ts use them to reach the water and go to A Main or mid from below. |
| T Side Upper | The long upper path on the right edge of the map, past Street. Players also call it Carpets. | The dry T route to A Main. It is quieter than the water. |
Call how far a T has come. “One Street” and “one T Side Upper” mean very different things for the CT on A, because T Side Upper ends right at A Main.

A Main and A site: Heaven, Walkway and Fountain

A site has two T entrances. A Main comes in from the right, fed by T Side Upper and the Canal. Walkway comes in from mid on the left side of the site. CTs arrive from Tunnel Stairs and hold the site from Heaven, the raised spot above it, so a T execute usually blocks the view from Heaven with a grenade first.
| Callout | Where it is | Who uses it and why |
|---|---|---|
| A Main | The T entrance on the right, where T Side Upper and the Canal meet. | The main T entry to A. CTs hold it from the site and from Fountain. |
| A Site | The bombsite at the top right of the map, built around a large pillar. | Ts plant here. CTs retake from Heaven and Tunnel Stairs. |
| Fountain | The corner with water on the right edge of the site, next to A Main. | A close CT position that sees A Main. Ts clear it on entry. |
| Heaven | The raised area on the left side of the site. | The main CT position on A. It sees most of the site and the top of Walkway. |
| Walkway | The path and steps from mid up to the site, below Heaven. | The T route to A from mid. Since January 2026 the site crates stand here. |
| Camera | The spot right next to Walkway, on the A Main side of the steps. Players use the name, the radar does not show it. | A call that tells the CT in Heaven which side of Walkway the T is on. |
| Tunnel Stairs | The stairs that lead from Tunnel up to the site. | The CT rotation to A and the usual retake path. |
Two changes from January 21, 2026 matter here. The crates that stood on the site are now up the steps on Walkway, so the cover at the top of Walkway is not where it used to be, and the pillar in the middle of A got scaffolding, which changes some old angles around it. Valve also adjusted clipping on the steps between Walkway and Heaven in January 2024.

If you hold A as a CT, the call that matters most is where the Ts are coming from: “A Main” or “Walkway”. The two entrances are on opposite sides of the site.

Mid, Bridge and Canal: the center of every round

Mid on Anubis is where Ts decide the round. From Bridge they go up through Mid Doors into Mid, and from there to A through Walkway or toward the CT side through Palace. The Canal runs under all of this. It is the low, wet path from the Bridge side to A Main, and you can hear anyone walking through it.

| Callout | Where it is | Who uses it and why |
|---|---|---|
| Bridge | The bridge between T Spawn and mid. | Ts enter mid from here. The drop next to it now lands near Mid Doors. |
| Top Mid | The open area below Bridge, on the T Spawn side of mid. Players use the name, the radar does not show it. | Ts gather here before they cross Bridge. A T called here has not reached mid yet. |
| Mid Doors | The double doors between Bridge and Mid. | The choke point of mid. Ts use grenades to cross it, CTs watch it from Mid and Palace. |
| Window | The opening in the wall below Mid Doors, between the Bridge side and the Canal. Players use the name, the radar does not show it. | A spot to see into the Canal from mid. You see it straight ahead from Bridge and at the top right from the Canal. |
| Mid | The middle of the map, between Mid Doors and Palace. | The fight for map control. Whoever holds it can rotate to either site. |
| Canal | The water channel below mid, between Bridge and A Main. Many players just say Water. | A T route to A Main. Splashing gives you away. |
| Palace | The building at the top of mid, toward the CT side. Players also call it Temple. | A CT position over mid and the CT route down from CT Side Upper. |
Valve reversed the orientation of Mid Doors in January 2026 and moved the Bridge drop next to them, so old grenade lineups and timings in this area may not work anymore. The Canal and Beach, the water behind CT Spawn, are different places. When a teammate says “Water”, he means the Canal.

A good mid call names the exit: a T who goes “Walkway” is going to A, and a T in “Connector” is going to B.

Ruins, Outside Long and Connector: how Ts reach B

The B approach has two T routes. The long one goes left from T Spawn through Ruins and Outside Long and enters B from below. The short one goes through Connector, the room next to Bridge, and comes out on the right side of the site. Ts often use both at once, so CTs on B have to watch two entrances.

| Callout | Where it is | Who uses it and why |
|---|---|---|
| Ruins | The broken area on the left of T Spawn. | Ts gather here before a B hit. CTs throw grenades into it. |
| Outside Long | The open path from Ruins up to B site. Players also call it B Long or B Main. | The main T entry to B. CTs hold the end of it from the site. |
| Connector | The room between Bridge and B site. The box inside it is called E-box. | The short T route from mid to B. Since January 2026 a hole leads from it to Ninja. |
The new hole between Connector and Ninja gives Ts a third way onto the site, and Valve adjusted grenade clipping around it in February 2026. When you call Ts here, say “Long” or “Connector”, because the two routes reach B from different sides.

B site: Ninja, Bricks and Alley

B site is on the left side of the map. Ts come in from Outside Long, from Connector and through the hole to Ninja. CTs reach it from the top through Alley and Bricks, both close to CT Spawn, so a B retake can come fast.
| Callout | Where it is | Who uses it and why |
|---|---|---|
| B Site | The bombsite on the left side of the map. | Ts plant here. CTs retake from Alley and Bricks. |
| Ninja | The right side of the site, toward Connector and Palace, sometimes called Back of B. | A CT position. Ts now reach it through the hole from Connector. |
| Bricks | The area above the site, between Ninja and Alley. | A CT position and the link from Palace to B. |
| Alley | The narrow path on the left from Sniper’s Nest down to the site. | The CT route to B and a retake path. |
Call a T on B by the part of the site he is in. “One Ninja” warns the CT in Bricks, while “one on site” tells nobody where to look.

CT Spawn, Beach and the CT rotations

CTs start at the top of the map, behind both sites. From CT Spawn, CT Side Upper and Palace lead down to mid, Sniper’s Nest and Lower Tunnel lead to B, and Tunnel leads through the water to Tunnel Stairs and A. Because the sites are far apart, the CT who holds mid decides how fast a rotation is.
| Callout | Where it is | Who uses it and why |
|---|---|---|
| CT Spawn | The CT start at the top of the map. | CTs split to A, B and mid from here. |
| Beach | The area with water behind CT Spawn, at the top edge of the map. | CTs walk through it toward Tunnel. It is noisy. |
| Tunnel | The passage with water from CT Spawn toward A. | The CT rotation to A. It ends at Tunnel Stairs. |
| CT Side Upper | The area just below CT Spawn, above Palace. | CTs pass it on the way to mid and to B. |
| Sniper’s Nest | The raised spot on the left, above Alley. | A CT position and the start of the rotation to B. |
| Lower Tunnel | The passage between Sniper’s Nest and Palace. | A CT route between B and mid. Ts who reach it cut the rotation. |
A call that names the route helps your team decide when to rotate. A CT “in Palace” can still go to mid or B, while a CT “in Tunnel” is already on the way to A.

Anubis callouts cheat sheet
This table lists every callout in this guide by area, with the side that usually holds each area. The area names are the same as on the map images above.
| Area | Callouts | Who usually holds it and why |
|---|---|---|
| T side | T Spawn, Street, T Stairs, T Side Upper (Carpets) | T side territory, the routes split here |
| A side | A Main, A Site, Fountain, Heaven, Walkway, Camera, Tunnel Stairs | CTs hold from Heaven and Fountain |
| Mid | Bridge, Top Mid, Mid Doors, Window, Mid, Canal, Palace | Ts fight for it, CTs watch it from Palace |
| B approach | Ruins, Outside Long, Connector | T side routes, CTs hold the end of Long |
| B site | B Site, Ninja, Bricks, Alley | CTs hold from Bricks and Ninja |
| CT side | CT Spawn, Beach, Tunnel, CT Side Upper, Sniper’s Nest, Lower Tunnel | CT rotations, Ts in Lower Tunnel cut them |
How to learn Anubis callouts quickly
The names on Anubis are short, but two of them catch new players: Beach and the Canal are different places, and Connector is not the same as Mid Doors. Our routine for a new map:
- Start a private match on Anubis with no bots and walk the map in the order of this guide: T Spawn, A side, mid, the B approach, B site and CT Spawn. Read the place name under your radar as you walk.
- Set up a practice server with our CS2 practice config or the right CS2 console commands, so you can stay in one area as long as you need.
- Open the official map guide for Anubis from the pause menu. Valve added starter guides for all Active Duty maps in March 2026.
- Walk from mid to B twice, once through Connector and once through the hole to Ninja, so you know where each path comes out.
- Agree with your team on the second names. Some players say Water for the Canal or B Long for Outside Long, and that is fine if everyone means the same spot.
Anubis is in Active Duty, so you will see it in Premier as of November 2026. To see the other six maps in the pool, read our guide to the Active Duty map pool. Our guides to Ancient callouts, Nuke callouts and Train callouts use the same format.
Bottom line
Learn Anubis by its two links from mid: Walkway to A and Connector to B.
If you play CT side, learn Heaven, Fountain and Tunnel Stairs for A, Palace for mid, and Ninja, Bricks and Alley for B, because you will hold or retake from those in many rounds. If you play T side, learn the routes: Street and T Side Upper to A Main, Ruins and Outside Long to B, and Bridge with Mid Doors for mid.
The names that cause mistakes are the ones that sound alike. Beach and the Canal are different places, and since January 2026 there is a new hole from Connector to Ninja. Agree on these names with your team before the match.
