How Many Gloves Are in CS2?

SkinsMonkey lists 94 glove finishes across eight types. Driver Gloves have the most with 20, while Hydra, Broken Fang and Bloodhound Gloves have only four each.
★ Sport Gloves | Hedge Maze from $1,856.19Check price
Gloves come from a few cases and the Dead Hand terminal as the rare special item, like knives, and since 22 October 2025 also from Covert trade-ups. Even the cheapest pair costs more than most weapon skins. They also cannot be StatTrak, so the price comes down to the finish, the wear and the pattern.

The cheapest CS2 gloves
Hydra Gloves Rattler and Mangrove cost under $40 in Battle-Scarred, with Driver Gloves Racing Green close behind. They have the same animations as a $40,000 pair. They are cheap because they come from the Clutch Case and the Revolution Case, which have been dropping the same set for years. Which cases drop gloves, in order
Gloves come as the rare special item from a handful of cases and, since March 2026, from the Dead Hand terminal. The order explains the prices: the 2016 pairs from the first two cases are still the most expensive, and the sets that came back in newer cases are the easiest to find.
- Nov 2016 Glove Case First gloves: Sport, Driver, Specialist, Hand Wraps, Moto, Bloodhound.
- May 2017 Operation Hydra Case The 2016 glove set drops from a second case. Hedge Maze, Pandora’s Box and Spearmint come from these two cases.
- Feb 2018 Clutch Case The second glove set, including Hydra Gloves. Vice and King Snake come from here.
- Dec 2020 Operation Broken Fang Case The third glove set, including Broken Fang Gloves.
- May 2021 Snakebite Case The Broken Fang glove set returns in a regular case.
- Jul 2022 Recoil Case The Broken Fang glove set again.
- Feb 2023 Revolution Case The Clutch glove set returns. The three cheapest gloves in the game come from the Clutch Case and this case.
- Mar 2026 Sealed Dead Hand Terminal 22 new glove finishes, the first since 2020.
Before you buy a pair
Worth paying for
- Float under 0.15 on Sport and Specialist, where the fabric shows wear first.
- A pattern you have inspected in-game, not on a screenshot.
- A seller with trade history you can check.
Not worth paying for
- “Rare pattern” claims on finishes that have no pattern variance.
- Battle-Scarred Hydra or Bloodhound at Field-Tested prices.
- Any pair sold outside a bot or the Steam Market.
- Pick the type first, finish second. Sport and Specialist are the most expensive types, Hydra Gloves the cheapest. Decide on your budget before you pick a colour.
- Compare the same wear across sellers. A Field-Tested Vice and a Minimal Wear Vice are two different products with two different markets.
- Check the float, then the price. The Wiki page for each pair shows the price curve by wear. If a listing sits far below the curve, ask why.
Bottom line
Buy the type you can afford at Field-Tested, not the finish you want at Battle-Scarred.
Sport and Specialist are the most expensive types, Hydra Gloves the cheapest. On most pairs Field-Tested looks almost the same in game as the cleaner wears and costs much less.
If you only want gloves on your hands, Rattler or Mangrove under $40 give you exactly that. If you want a pair that looks expensive, start at Vice or King Snake in Field-Tested.
