TL;DR
A CS2 loadout that looks expensive can cost very little: the cheapest pick from our video in each of the 37 slots (two agents, the Zeus and all 34 guns) added up to $53.27 on SkinsMonkey on October 23, 2026, and the cheapest knife and glove pair, a Bowie Knife | Black Laminate with Broken Fang Gloves | Unhinged, to $137.92. The picks that look most expensive are look-alikes such as the Dual Berettas | Polished Malachite, which copies the Emerald, and the R8 Revolver | Blaze, which copies the Desert Eagle | Blaze.
On this page
Our video on the best cheap CS2 loadout picks skins that look like they cost a lot more than they do: a Dual Berettas that passes for the Emerald, a Factory New R8 Revolver | Blaze for about four dollars on October 23 while the Desert Eagle | Blaze sat above $800, and a white Tec-9 for less than three. This post follows those picks slot by slot, from the agents and the Zeus through all 34 guns to seven knife and glove combos, with what each skin looks like in your hands and what it cost on SkinsMonkey on October 23, 2026.
If you only want the lowest price per gun, our list of the cheapest CS2 skins covers the ten-cent floor, and the full CS2 inventory for $50 builds a loadout to a fixed budget. Here price is the second filter. Every skin below is in the video because its finish, colors or detail read as a more expensive skin in first person, and most of them still cost less than a dollar or two.
The video came out on May 30, 2026 and quotes May prices. Most guns moved by a few cents since then, but the knives in the combos went up by 11 to 52 dollars each. The tables show the SkinsMonkey price on October 23 for the wear named in the video, plus live From and Up to prices across all wears: a Field-Tested Tec-9 | Whiteout cost $2.91, a Factory New one $248.17. Float, StatTrak and the pattern can move the price further within the same wear, and where the video picks a StatTrak or Souvenir copy we list the regular one.
- Every slot together costs less than any knife in the combos. The cheapest pick from the video in each of the 37 slots (two agents, the Zeus and 34 guns) added up to $53.27 on October 23, and 25 of the guns have a pick under a dollar.
- Look-alikes are the trick. Several picks copy a finish that costs tens to thousands of dollars on another gun or in a rarer collection, and we put them side by side below.
- Seven knife and glove combos from $137.92 to $303.76. In May the video had them at $118 to $248; the knives drove most of the increase.
- Prices: SkinsMonkey, October 23, 2026. Every skin name links to its WIKI page with the current price.
Our video goes through every slot in game with commentary, the wear for each pick and its May price:
Cheap skins that copy expensive ones
The fastest way to make a cheap loadout look expensive is to borrow a finish people already know as expensive. These three are the best examples in the video, each next to the skin it imitates:
Dual Berettas | Polished Malachite
- Wear from the video
- Minimal Wear
- Price on Oct 23
- $0.30
- Original from
- $40.71
Bright emerald green with a polished sheen on both pistols, which is the whole appeal of the Dual Berettas | Emerald. The Emerald started at $40.74 on October 23, so the Minimal Wear Malachite is over a hundred times cheaper. The video put the gap at 439 times in May, when the Malachite was $0.14 and the Emerald cost more.
R8 Revolver | Blaze
- Wear from the video
- Factory New
- Price on Oct 23
- $4.01
- Original from
- $841.54
The same orange and red flame pattern as the Desert Eagle | Blaze, one of the best-known pistol skins in the game. The Deagle version started at $841.71 on October 23; the R8 copy exists only in Factory New and Minimal Wear, so every one you find looks clean.
Tec-9 | Whiteout
- Wear from the video
- Field-Tested
- Price on Oct 23
- $2.91
- Original from
- $49.67
An all-white finish that costs real money on most guns: a Field-Tested MP7 | Whiteout cost $50.18 on October 23. The Tec-9 version was even cheaper than the roughly $6 quoted in May. The video recommends a float between 0.15 and 0.18, the clean end of Field-Tested, where the white shows the fewest scratches.
Five more pairs from the video. The originals cost from about $150 to several thousand dollars; the copies run from ten cents to under twenty.

The Converter row needs stickers to complete the look, and those cost extra. Without them it is a clean red and black M4A4 for about a dollar, which is still a decent base.

Agents: the sleeves you see every round
The video starts with agents because their sleeves sit at the bottom of your screen with every gun you hold, and the model is what everyone else sees. It picks two per side, all four from the Shattered Web set and all between $8 and $14 on October 23.
- Blackwolf | Sabre
T side · Brown jacket with a fur collar, the sleeve the video likes. $8.22 on Oct 23.
$8.13Check price - The Elite Mr. Muhlik | Elite Crew
T side · Red scarf and bare forearms, for players who want no sleeve. $12.32 on Oct 23.
$12.32Check price - Markus Delrow | FBI HRT
CT side · Dark green sleeve that goes with almost any skin. $10.18 on Oct 23.
$10.08Check price - Michael Syfers | FBI Sniper
CT side · Black FBI jacket, the most minimal look of the four. $13.63 on Oct 23.
$13.60Check price
For the look we would take Blackwolf | Sabre on T side and Markus Delrow | FBI HRT on CT side. Both have a sleeve with some texture to it, which matters more than the face, because the sleeve is what you see. Michael Syfers | FBI Sniper is the cleaner CT choice for a few dollars more, and The Elite Mr. Muhlik | Elite Crew suits T players who would rather see bare arms. Our best CS2 agents list covers the pricier tiers.
Pistols and the Zeus
Pistols are where a cheap loadout usually gives itself away, because you hold one every pistol round and on most ecos. Every pistol pick below cost under $8 on October 23, and most under $2.
Zeus x27
The cheapest skin in the whole video is the Zeus pick. Zeus x27 | Electric Blue is a solid royal blue with no pattern at all, bright enough to read clearly when you pull it in deathmatch. The video quoted two cents; on October 23 it sat at the $0.10 floor on SkinsMonkey, where the cheapest skins bottom out.

USP-S and P2000
Three minimalist USP-S picks, and they cost almost the same. Our pick is USP-S | Bleeding Edge: a deep red slide and suppressor with darker detail, the kind of single-color finish that looks deliberate. USP-S | Sleeping Potion mixes light and dark purple, and USP-S | Royal Guard was the cheapest of the three at $0.72 in Field-Tested, a blue slide with a black suppressor. If you play the P2000 instead, P2000 | Obsidian has red swirling lines over the whole frame, loud enough to hold its own next to a pricier rifle. Our best USP-S skins post goes further up the price list.

Glock-18
Glock-18 | Trace Lock is the one that looks expensive here. It is mostly white with holographic detail that catches the light as you move, a lot of shine for about a dollar. Glock-18 | Shinobu has a more detailed purple illustration and went up from about $4.50 in May to $6.41 on October 23. Glock-18 | Moonrise is the budget option: a purple top over a grey frame.
P250
Two dark reds for the best eco pistol in the game. P250 | Vino Primo is a simple burgundy with pink accents, and P250 | Nevermore has a detailed red design on a darker base. We would take the Nevermore: in Minimal Wear it was cheaper on October 23 than a Field-Tested Vino Primo, which had climbed from about a dollar in May.

Dual Berettas
The Polished Malachite from the look-alike section is the pick. For something completely different, Dual Berettas | Sweet Little Angels has a well-drawn pastel illustration that looks unlike any other pair of pistols in a lobby.

Five-SeveN
On CT side, Five-SeveN | Sky Blue is the minimal choice that echoes the Blue Phosphor, at the ten-cent floor in Minimal Wear. Five-SeveN | Fraise Crane is the detailed one: a pink slide over a patterned grip, still under thirty cents in Field-Tested on October 23.

Tec-9
The Whiteout is our pick for the T side pistol slot, for the reasons above. If you want the slot covered for nothing, Tec-9 | Blue Blast in Minimal Wear is a teal finish at the price floor.

CZ75-Auto
Chrome reads as premium on almost any gun, and CZ75-Auto | Silver is exactly that: a plain polished silver finish. The video picks a Factory New Souvenir and says the regular one costs around $25, but on October 23 a regular Factory New copy cost $2.75 on SkinsMonkey, so the Souvenir hunt is optional. CZ75-Auto | Eco is the alternative for green loadouts, lime green with white.
Desert Eagle and R8 Revolver
For the Deagle, Desert Eagle | Firebreathing is our pick: purple, pink and blue artwork that the video compares to the Blaze, for about a dollar in Field-Tested. Desert Eagle | Mecha Industries brings the white, red and black look of the Asiimov-style skins and cost $7.08 on October 23, up from about $5 in May. Desert Eagle | Tilted is a pale mint finish for well under a dollar. If you prefer the R8, the Blaze from the look-alike section is the obvious choice, and R8 Revolver | Amber Fade mixes green and orange for a little less.

SMGs
SMGs win eco and force-buy rounds, and the UMP-45 and MAC-10 pay $600 per kill in competitive. Seven guns, and only one pick in the video stopped being cheap.
MAC-10
On the T side SMG, the Carnivore from the look-alike table is the pick: a Slaughter-style red for about fifty cents. MAC-10 | Saibā Oni and MAC-10 | Sakkaku are the two illustrated options, pink and purple on the Saibā Oni, and the video points out that the Sakkaku has eyes that glow while you fire.
MP9
The three MP9 picks get flashier as the price goes up. MP9 | Buff Blue is a neutral blue at the floor price and the easiest way to start an all-blue loadout. MP9 | Ruby Poison Dart puts a red pattern on black. MP9 | Hydra is the one that looks expensive, neon green scales over the whole body, and a Field-Tested copy cost $7.92 on October 23 against $55.67 for Factory New.
MP7 and MP5-SD
MP7 | Amberline changes a lot with the pattern: some copies are almost entirely yellow, others mostly white, which makes it a budget stand-in for a whiteout look if you check the copy before you trade. MP7 | Fade is the colorful option and, at $9.44 on October 23, the cheapest Fade finish on our WIKI; the next one, on the MAC-10, started above $49. On the MP5-SD, MP5-SD | Phosphor mixes green, blue and pink, and MP5-SD | Picnic is a plain red for cents.
UMP-45
UMP-45 | Crimson Foil is our pick: a red metallic foil that the video compares to Ruby finishes, around three dollars in Minimal Wear. UMP-45 | Moonrise is the cheaper purple with a simple illustration.

PP-Bizon

| Factory New, $0.10 | $0.10 | Check |
P90
P90 | Traction is almost entirely cyan and teal and stands out well in game for under a dollar in Minimal Wear. The video also names P90 | Death by Kitty at about $6, but on October 23 the cheapest copy on SkinsMonkey cost $107.26, so it no longer belongs in a cheap loadout and the Traction is the one to buy.

Shotguns and machine guns
These are the guns you buy least, so the video keeps them cheap. None of the picks below cost more than about five dollars on October 23.
Nova
Nova | Rising Sun has details that look like broken glass over a grey body, a lot of texture for about sixty cents in Field-Tested.
| Item | Video wear, Oct 23 | Price | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Field-Tested, $0.60 | $0.52up to $4.37 | Check |
Sawed-Off
Both picks lean purple. Sawed-Off | Apocalypto shows a giant zombie hand holding the Earth, in teal against a purple barrel, and costs under a dollar. Sawed-Off | Kiss♥Love is the cuter option and was about $4 to $5 on October 23, a little more than in May.

|---|---|---|---|
| Field-Tested, $0.78 | $0.72up to $3.32 | Check | |
| Wear not named, from $4.10 | $4.10up to $16.35 | Check |
MAG-7
MAG-7 | Heat is the pick for an orange loadout, a glowing orange finish, like heated metal. MAG-7 | Monster Call costs less and has a more detailed blue and teal monster illustration.
| Item | Video wear, Oct 23 | Price | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Field-Tested, $1.80 | $1.63up to $7.66 | Check | |
| Wear not named, from $0.44 | $0.45up to $3.80 | Check |
XM1014
XM1014 | XoooM is two shades of yellow and nothing else, at the price floor. We would spend the extra dollar or two on XM1014 | Watchdog: the raised texture finish has more depth up close and looks like a skin from a higher tier.
Negev and M249
The video names one skin for each machine gun. Negev | Sour Grapes is a flat purple that the video recommends as a base for sticker crafts, and M249 | Bock Blocks is a busier pink and purple block pattern. Both were well under fifty cents in Minimal Wear on October 23.

Rifles
This is where you should spend a little more, because a rifle is in your hands for most of a gun round. The most expensive rifle pick in the video, the AK-47 | Aphrodite, still cost under $20 in Field-Tested on October 23.
FAMAS
FAMAS | Rapid Eye Movement has a raised texture design that looks far more expensive than a FAMAS skin usually does. The video picks a StatTrak copy at about $5 so you get the kill counter too; the regular Field-Tested one cost $8.23 on October 23, which makes it the most expensive gun in the cheapest-pick column of the cost table.
| Item | Video wear, Oct 23 | Price | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Field-Tested, $8.23 (StatTrak in the video) | $7.34up to $19.40 | Check |
Galil AR
Galil AR | Chromatic Aberration is our pick: neon pink and teal over black, with much stronger color than the other two, for about five dollars in Field-Tested. Galil AR | Sky Mandala is a light pink with simple drawings, good under stickers, and Galil AR | Metallic Squeezer is a dark minimal finish for under fifty cents.
| Item | Video wear, Oct 23 | Price | |

AUG
AUG | Carved Jade is the surprise of the rifle section. Its glossy green is, as the video says, about as close as an AUG gets to the green of a Gamma Doppler Emerald knife. The video picks a Souvenir in Minimal Wear for about $5; the regular Minimal Wear copy cost $10.90 on SkinsMonkey on October 23, not the $25 quoted in May. AUG | Amber Fade is the cheaper alternative at around two dollars.
| Item | Video wear, Oct 23 | Price | |

| Wear not named, from $1.87 | $1.87up to $4.65 | Check |
SG 553
SG 553 | Darkwing is simple black and red and works well with custom sticker combinations, for under a dollar. SG 553 | Integrale is a red, white and blue rally livery, more detailed and colorful; the video picks Well-Worn, which keeps it near five dollars.
AK-47
Five picks, and the video says all of them stay under $23. On October 23 that still held, with all five in Field-Tested between $3.69 and $19.15.
AK-47 | Midnight Laminate is a dark blue and purple base built for stickers. AK-47 | Ice Coaled is the colorful one, teal and blue. AK-47 | Nouveau Rouge and AK-47 | Crane Flight are both white with ornate red or gold detail, and the video calls the Crane Flight a relatively new skin, which is part of why it costs more. For the most expensive look, AK-47 | Aphrodite is the cheaper cousin of the Gold Arabesque, and the pattern changes how much of the gold ornament you see, so compare copies before you trade. More options sit in our cheap AK-47 skins list.

M4A1-S
M4A1-S | Black Lotus is our pick: a striking illustration with a shiny finish that reads as a much pricier rifle, around five dollars in Field-Tested. M4A1-S | Solitude can look completely different depending on the pattern, and the video suggests looking for Tier 1 or Blue Mountains patterns. M4A1-S | Electrum suits a green loadout, and M4A1-S | Night Terror turns more purple in Battle-Scarred, which is why the video picks the worst wear on purpose.

M4A4
The Converter from the look-alike table is the craft base. M4A4 | Sheet Lightning is gold and black and was under a dollar in Field-Tested. If you will spend more, M4A4 | Spider Lily in Well-Worn has the most detail of the three; it cost $7.58 on October 23, up from about $5 in May. Our cheap M4A4 skins post has more under ten dollars.

Snipers
Every sniper pick in the video cost under $10 on October 23, including six AWPs.
SSG 08
SSG 08 | Memorial is mostly white with brown detail and a gold scope lens, which is what makes it look expensive, and it cost well under a dollar in Minimal Wear. SSG 08 | Acid Fade only comes in Factory New and turns bright green with a fade close to 100 percent, so check the fade. SSG 08 | Calligrafaux is a red budget option.
AWP
Six options, all between about fifty cents and ten dollars. AWP | Duality is our pick, a detailed metallic finish that catches the light every time the bolt cycles. AWP | Green Energy fits green loadouts, AWP | Atheris has a clean snake design, and AWP | Ice Coaled is more neutral but still striking. For darker looks, the Arsenic Spill from the look-alike table copies the Graphite, and AWP | Black Nile is a clean, dark finish that fits almost any loadout. For more, see our best AWP skins and cheap AWP skins lists.

SCAR-20 and G3SG1
Both auto snipers get two picks. SCAR-20 | Enforcer is mostly black with small color details, and SCAR-20 | Powercore is greener and brighter. On the G3SG1, G3SG1 | Dream Glade shows a forest with a lake and small creatures, a good fit for green or blue loadouts, and G3SG1 | High Seas is gold and dark. The video picks StatTrak copies of the Powercore and Dream Glade; the regular ones cost under two dollars.
What the full loadout costs
Our script added up two versions of the loadout from SkinsMonkey prices on October 23, 2026, using the wear named in the video. The first column takes the cheapest pick from the video in each slot. The second takes the pick we would buy for the look, the one named first in each section above.

Add the cheapest knife and glove combo below, $137.92, and the complete loadout came to $191.19 on October 23 at the floor, or $262.82 with our picks. You will not equip every one of these guns, so the real bill is lower: skip the Negev or the R8 if you never buy them. Where a skin has no wear named in the video, the table uses its cheapest wear.
Seven knife and glove combos from the video
The video finishes with seven knife and glove pairs, one per color theme, all chosen to look like a bigger budget than they are. The total is the sum of both items in the wear named, on October 23, next to the total quoted in the video in May.
| Theme | Gloves | Knife | Oct 23 (video) |
|---|---|---|---|
| Black | $137.92 ($118) | ||
| Yellow | $204.53 ($166) | ||
| Red | $232.24 ($188) | ||
| Purple | $221.15 ($183) | ||
| Blue | $210.96 ($188) | ||
| White | $220.43 ($197) | ||
| Green | $303.76 ($248) |
- #1 Black ($137.92): A Field-Tested Bowie Knife | Black Laminate with Field-Tested Broken Fang Gloves | Unhinged, a clean dark pair and still the cheapest combo. It goes with our black loadout.
- #2 Yellow ($204.53): Survival Knife | Tiger Tooth in Factory New with Field-Tested Broken Fang Gloves | Yellow-banded. The knife rose the most in this pair, from $112 to $142.09. More in the yellow loadout.
- #3 Red ($232.24): A Minimal Wear Gut Knife | Slaughter with Field-Tested Driver Gloves | Rezan the Red. The Slaughter is the finish the MAC-10 Carnivore imitates. See the red loadout.
- #4 Purple ($221.15): Huntsman Knife | Ultraviolet and Driver Gloves | Plum Quill, both Field-Tested. Pairs with our purple loadout.
- #5 Blue ($210.96): Falchion Knife | Bright Water and Moto Gloves | Polygon, both Field-Tested, for fans of the blue inventory.
- #6 White ($220.43): A Field-Tested Classic Knife | Urban Masked with Well-Worn Moto Gloves | Smoke Out, a neutral pair that fits the white loadout.
- #7 Green ($303.76): A Factory New Gut Knife | Gamma Doppler Phase 3 with Field-Tested Broken Fang Gloves | Jade. The priciest pair, and the knife went from $157 to $208.99. Our green loadout has more.
Every combo crossed its May price, mostly because of the knife. If one of these pairs is out of reach, our knife and glove combos for every budget and the list of cheapest CS2 knives go lower.
How to make a cheap loadout look expensive
- Spend where you look. Agent sleeves, your main rifle, your pistol and the knife are on screen most. The video keeps the Negev, M249 and PP-Bizon at the floor for that reason.
- Buy the clean end of the wear. On light finishes like the Tec-9 Whiteout, a low float inside Field-Tested hides most scratches. Our wear levels guide has the float ranges.
- Look-alikes only work in the right wear. The Polished Malachite and the R8 Blaze look like their expensive cousins because they are clean; a worn copy loses the effect.
- Check the pattern before you trade. AK-47 Aphrodite, M4A1-S Solitude, MP7 Amberline and SSG 08 Acid Fade all change color or detail from copy to copy.
- Use flat skins as sticker bases. AK-47 Midnight Laminate, SG 553 Darkwing, Galil AR Sky Mandala and Negev Sour Grapes are in the video partly for crafts. Our sticker craft ideas show what works.
Getting the whole loadout in one go
At these prices you can cover every slot for about the cost of one mid-range skin. Check what your current skins are worth with our free CS2 Inventory Value Checker, then trade them for the picks above on SkinsMonkey, where trades with our bots go through instantly.
Want one color instead? Our loadouts in green, red, blue, pink and black go through every gun the same way.
Bottom line
Buy the look-alikes in clean wear, keep the rarely used guns at the floor, and spend the rest on the knife.
The cheapest version of every slot in our video cost $53.27 on October 23, so the guns are not where the money goes. Put a dollar or two more into the skins you see most, like a Tec-9 | Whiteout, an MP9 | Hydra or an AK-47 | Aphrodite, and buy the look-alikes such as the Polished Malachite and the R8 Blaze in the clean wear the video names.
The knife and gloves decide the total. The black Bowie Knife and Broken Fang Gloves pair was the cheapest combo at $137.92, and every combo cost more than in May, so check the knife price before you plan around a combo from the video.

Are the prices in the video still correct?
Not exactly. The video was published on May 30, 2026 with May prices.
