Here&#8217;s everything you need to know!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What Are CS2 Weapon Cases?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A CS2 weapon case is a type of lootbox, which contains a CS2 weapon skin inside. There are many ways in which players can obtain weapon case drops in CS2, such as:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Playing the game<\/li>\n\n<li>Weekly care package<\/li>\n\n<li>Steam marketplace<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In order to open each weapon case, the players need appropriate <a href=\"\/blog\/best-csgo-cases-to-open\/\">CS2 case keys<\/a>, which can be purchased in the in-game store. Each case has its own pool of weapon skins inside, either created by the community or Valve devs, with a special <a href=\"\/blog\/best-cs2-knives\/\">rare knife skin<\/a> or gloves skin available inside. This, of course, was not very accurate, and at best, served only as a way to show how many cases a player with average luck needs to open to get a rare drop.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">However, in 2017 China&#8217;s Ministry of Culture introduced a new requirement for any game devs that if their game contains loot boxes, they are obliged by law to release official numbers for loot box odds. Valve had to comply with this requirement, releasing <strong>official case odds. <\/strong>These are, for every rarity level in the game<strong>:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Mil-Spec Grade \u2013 79.92%<\/li>\n\n<li>Restricted \u2013 15.98%<\/li>\n\n<li>Classified \u2013 3.2%<\/li>\n\n<li>Covert \u2013 0.64%<\/li>\n\n<li>Exceedingly Rare (Knives, Gloves) \u2013 0.26%<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Although it&#8217;s still impossible to tell what skins you get inside your CS2 cases exactly, these odds show how rare each tier is: on average, only about one case in 385 contains a knife or gloves.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Can You Sell CS2 Cases?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Yes, you can not only sell all the skins in every case you open, but you can also trade CS2 cases themselves. If you don&#8217;t want to gamble on CS2 cases, you can sell the cases from your inventory on the Steam Community Market instead.
